Happy Fourth of July!
The Fourth has long been one of my favorite holidays. Growing up we celebrated every year with friends, food, and of course, lots of fire works. Each and every year, my dad would turn into the biggest kid of them all and it wasn’t really the Fourth of July until the cops showed up…
As an adult, very little has changed. We party with the neighbors and keep the kids up way too late. We grill. And we swim. And we prepare by driving over the border to Indiana and buying all the fireworks. Its kind of the best.
My Fourth of July Outfit
And let’s be real about the whole thing…comfort is king and ain’t nobody wearing heels. But I will be wearing blue and white and ruffles because that is pretty much what I wear all summer long. This top is another piece from the amazing Who What Wear for Target line that I’ve raved about over and over. The line continues to be a go-to for me for well-made basics and on trend additions to my wardrobe. I’m currently completely obsessed with this ruffled top – both colors are gorgeous.
So we’ll be keeping it pretty simple and easy over here. And your Fourth of July outfit doesn’t need to be overly complicated either. Its a great day to have fun with your style and not take things too seriously. Not that I would advocate going full on American flag and dousing yourself in red, white and blue! Play with ruffles or have fun with your accessories. And if all else fails…wear blue and white! Its always my go-to!
What are you up to today? And what will you be wearing? Have fun and be safe!
