Do you have a fool-proof outfit formula that you tend to turn to? A color or silhouette that makes you feel confident and pulled together no matter the occasion? For me that formula is head to toe monochromatic black. And today I’m styling just such an outfit and reviewing the bag that seems to be showing up on every blog and in every editorial…
The Cult Gaia ‘Arc’ clutch: Summer’s It Bag
The bamboo version of the Cult Gaia ‘Arc’ clutch debuted last spring/summer and instantly sold out. Since then, retailers have had a difficult time keeping this cult favorite in stock {you see what I did there? ;)}. And this season the brand debuted the gorgeous bag in a darker stain as well as an acrylic version in shades such as black and mother of pearl.
I’m always a bit hesitant of trends in general and this was no exception. Yet each time I came across this bag I felt more and more drawn to its interesting shape and delicate yet statement-making structure. It seemed like a cross between an accessory and a work of art. It is a piece that requires a bit of extra care with storage and general use, but rarely have I seen a clutch as versatile. This bag elevates jeans and a tee to a new level and gives a dress and heels just the right amount of edge. I do think its more of a spring/summer piece, but with that said, I don’t think you’ll get far before you are stopped by a stranger asking “Where did you get your bag?!”
Thanks so much for stopping by!
