Because I know that you gals love casual wear and affordable fashion just as much as I do, I thought I’d share my latest Target haul. There are so many amazing casual spring fashion finds at Target to share and endless ways to mix and match them. And what I love about so many of these pieces as that they will flatter any size or shape. These are also outfits that work whether you’re in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s or beyond!
Before we dive in, I just want to share a couple of tips and tricks to keep in mind when shopping for new seasonal clothing, casual or otherwise.
- Stick with a similar color palette to increase versatility. In this selection, I stuck with black, whites, muted greens and muted pinks all of with can be mixed, matched and layered to create even more outfit ideas.
- Look for pieces that can be dressed up or down. This gingham shirt is a prime example. It looks just as cute and appropriate with jeans as it would tucked into black dress pants for the office.
- Seek out transitional fabrics. It’s still freezing here in the midwest, so I’m on the hunt for pieces that I can wear now and later. For example, this cardigan can be worn now but is lightweight enough to wear as soon as it’s warm enough to ditch my coat!
And with that, let’s dive in…
shirt || tee || jeans || similar flats
I love this utility shirt. It’s super soft and lightweight, comes in 4 colors and is endlessly versatile. I’m in a medium and I would say it runs TTS.
This cute long sleeve tee is such a fun take on a basic. It is cropped so I sized up to a large and love how it looks with a front tuck into high-waisted jeans.
cardigan (2 colors!) || tee || leggings, look for less || mules
This cardigan is a must! It’s lightweight, easy to dress up or down and would be great for the office. It comes in 2 colors and runs TTS. I’m in a medium.
jacket || tee || jeans || sneakers
The quality of this camo jacket is really next level. It reminds me so much of so many of the jackets I’ve seen from J. Crew. It does run a bit big. I’m in a x-small, but would probably do a small so the sleeves would be a little longer.
shirt || tee || jeans || mules
I mentioned this gingham shirt above and it really is just so versatile! It’s probably my favorite of these casual spring fashion finds at Target and gingham is always on trend for spring, year after year. I share it styled another way below but this is also such a great piece to dress up. I would say it runs a touch big. I’m in a medium but probably would have preferred a small.
sweatshirt || leggings || sneakers
How fun is this graphic sweatshirt and side stripe leggings? The perfect casual errands or day at home outfit. And I love the positive message! The sweatshirt runs a bit small, I’m in a large and the leggings a bit big, I’m in a small.
shirt || tee || leggings || sneakers
Here is the utility shirt again with the side stripe leggings and a cute tee. Another easy casual look for when you’re a mama on the go. I’d size up on the tee and down in the leggings!
rain jacket not yet online in this color, but it’s this style || tee || leggings || sneakers
I swapped the utility shirt for this cute rain jacket. This just shows that there are endless ways to change up an easy leggings and tee outfit! This jacket runs TTS and I’m in a small.
cardigan || tee || jeans || sneakers
A pretty spring cardigan is a must! I love the oversized fit, this one runs TTS and I’m in a medium. Thrown it on over a striped tee with jeans and some fun sneakers for a comfy, yet put together look.
sweatshirt || jeans || sneakers
This sweatshirt is so soft! It comes in 3 colors and is also long enough to wear with leggings making it a total win in my book. It runs TTS, I’m in a medium and sized up for a little extra length.
shirt || tee || jeans || mules
And lastly, this gingham shirt again! Such a great spring piece and again, so incredibly versatile.
