After the holidays I like to do a home refresh to kick off the new year. Out go the Christmas tree and stockings and in come soft neutrals, fresh towels, and cozy accessories to keep us warm during the chilly months ahead. And since we just made it through the holidays, we’re doing this winter home refresh on a budget!
A big thank you to Walmart for partnering on today’s post! As always, all items were selected by me. Thank you for supporting the brands that help me bring you great content.
Shop Winter Home Refresh on a Budget
Budget meets style in the best possible way with Walmart home decor. And small updates can have a big impact. After putting away the bright, cheerful decor of the holidays, I’m ready for warm neutrals and a cleaner, simpler aesthetic. Here are some easy and affordable pieces to update your home for the winter.
For the bathroom, I like to update my home storage. Walmart has a great selection of beautiful woven baskets, perfect for storing washcloths, toilet paper, or other bathroom essentials. I also like to swap out my holiday candles with new scents and these look chic and smell amazing.
In the living room, I always update my throw pillows and Walmart has such a great selection no matter your decor style. And because I’m slightly throw blanket obsessed, I always grab a cozy new blanket that tends to travel between the couch and the bed. This sherpa throw is the softest thing ever and I love the pretty winter white color. I like to roll my extra blankets and store them in this galvanized tub. It’s amazing quality and just $10.
I also just bought this accent rug for my back door. I love the mix of grey, tan, and cream as well as the jute woven in. It looks way more expensive than it is.
I keep the kitchen updates pretty simple. I always pick up fresh tea towels and I also bought this beautiful wooden bowl. It’s crafted from beautiful acacia wood that is resistant to mold and mildew. Beautiful and versatile, it’s perfect for serving purposes or as an everyday decoration.
