I was so excited to be able to finally stop by Old Navy for an in-store try on and found so many cute, casual fall outfits to share!
Shop Casual Fall Outfits from Old Navy:
In-store try ons have been nearly impossible for the past eight months or so. Store inventory has been extremely low and many fitting rooms aren’t open. You all have been missing Old Navy and so have I. So I took a chance yesterday and popped in. Low and behold, the fitting rooms were open and the floor was socked with all the fall things!
Old Navy has been particularly tricky to share during these past months for a couple of reasons. 1) Their in-store stock has been pretty sparse, and 2) their shipping times are extremely slow, meaning items would be completely sold out before they arrived. So you can imagine my joy at seeing racks of plaid flannels, tables stacked with sweaters and denim, and all of the cozy basics that Old Navy is known for.
For reference, I’m 5’7″ with a long torso and long legs. I typically wear a 27 in jeans or a size 4. My bra size is a 34D, and I typically wear a size medium top but sometimes size down for a more tailored fit or a large for a more oversized fit. If I own the item I will always list my size and any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!)
Casual Fall Outfits: Plaid Flannel, Cozy Cardigan and Puffer Vest
Old Navy always has the best plaid flannels. Super soft with tons of colors, I went with the neutral grey this year. Layer these with jackets, sweaters, over graphic tees; the options are endless. They have a nice length to them and work with leggings as well.
Old Navy cardigans are also always go-to’s for me and this one is good. It’s a super soft boucle fabric and I love this pretty muted pink color. It’s great for the workplace, or wear casually with leggings.
And I’ve had my black Old Navy puffer vest for years and added this bright neutral this year. Their vests are a must for everyone in your family and are incredibly well-made and warm.
Casual Fall Outfits: Leopard Cardigan and Leopard Sweater
I’ve been eyeing this cardigan online and was so happy to see it in-store. I was a little worried it would be itchy and wanted to try it on in-person. While it is a warmer sweater, I found it to be very soft and I love the print! This cropped sweater trend is so fun and makes this a very versatile little sweater!
Casual Fall Outfits: Layering Tees
Old Navy’s Luxe tees are some of my favorites. They drape beautifully, wash up well, and are perfect for layering. I love these neutral stripe options on their own or layered with sweaters or jackets.
These henley tees are new this year and come in eight colors. Stay true to size for a more fitted silhouette or size up for a slouchier fit. They are great on their own, for layering, or even to sleep in!
Casual Fall Outfits: Cozy Sherpa
This Sherpa jacket was another item I had been eyeing online and was so happy to get to try it on in-store. It has major Abercrombie vibes! It is really well-made with some fun details like a zip and snap closure, ribbon detailing down the front, and patch pockets that also function from the side. I’m wearing a medium but would have preferred a small. Also comes in black.
Casual Fall Outfits: Vintage Sweatshirts and Sweaters
These sweatshirts come in nine colors and have the perfect shrunken, vintage fit. Perfect with jeans or joggers on the weekend. I stayed in my true size medium; size up if you want a more oversized fit.
I wasn’t expecting to love this sweater as much as I did! It has a very J. Crew look to it. I think it’s another one you could easily dress up or down. It is also a warmer sweater but I didn’t find it to be itchy at all.
