And just like that, spring has sprung! This morning I looked outside and realized there were buds on the trees, the grass was turning green and the birds were building nests. This means it’s time for my annual spring shoe edit and this year it’s all about affordable spring shoes.
One of the first places I look to update my wardrobe with the season change is my shoes. It’s easy to get a lot of bang for your buck in this area. Swapping boots for cute sneakers, mules or wedges can completely transform multiple outfits. And with so many cute options at affordable price points, it’s easy to make the case for snagging a few pairs!
I’m breaking things down by category: dressy sandals, casual sandals, wedges, sneakers and flats. And all of my picks are under $100 with most being under $50!
Spring Shoe Trends
There aren’t many cutting edge new styles to speak of…Mules and flats are my favorite spring shoes for the workplace. They are comfortable, versatile and come in so many styles.
Another huge spring trend is sneakers. This is a trend I can completely get on board with. There are so many styles it’s honestly hard to narrow down my favorites. I love that sneakers can go with everything from jeans and shorts to cute spring dresses.
Finally, a pair of comfortable wedge sandals are a must, as they can easily be paired with everything from cut-offs to dresses.
Classic neutrals are always my favorites this time of year, but I also love bright whites, animal prints and fun embellishments like studs, crystals, and pearls.

Flats and Mules
Flats and mules are my favorite shoes for the workplace during the spring and summer months. Comfortable and versatile, a flat shoe can easily transition from day to night and work to weekend.
By far my favorite trend is sneakers. I absolutely love the cool-girl vibe sneakers lend to any outfit. And hello, comfortable. Whether you like the Golden Goose style, a classic white sneaker, an athletic style, a high top or a slip-on, sneakers have cemented themselves as a must-have.
Casual sandals are my jam in the summer months. I love everything from simple flip-flops to woven slides to a stylish espadrille. Some of these could be worn both dressed up are casually so I’m including them in both categories.
I usually pick up at least one pair of dressier sandals to have on hand for events or even just a date night. Some workplace environments even allow for dressier sandals. I’ve rounded up my favorites here; everything from flat sandals to wedges, to strappy sandals. Some of these could be worn both dressed up are casually so I’m including them in both categories.
