Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas: Dressy to Casual

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

I teamed up with some friends over on Instagram this week to share Thanksgiving outfit ideas and wanted to share them here as well. These outfits range from casual to dressy and are great inspiration for the holiday season as well! They are also great options for holiday family photos as well.

Thanksgiving Outfits: More Dressy

holiday Outfit, sweater dress, tall boots

Left: tunic sweater/sweater dress (I’m wearing a small) || boots || bracelet Right: tunic sweater/sweater dress || OTK boots || bracelet

A sweater dress is always a great option and can be styled so many different ways! Below I paired the grey version of this tunic sweater/sweater dress with my trusty Spanx leggings and my favorite OTK boots. This one is super soft and cozy and is such a forgiving style for those of us who may overindulge in one too many slices of pie;) I wear a small and am 5′ 7″ for reference.

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas, sweater dress and booties, knee length, cowl neck

sweater dress, 5 colors, wearing a medium but would have preferred a small, on sale for $19!

This sweater dress is another great option, especially for taller girls. It comes in 5 colors, is incredibly soft and well made and has details that you would not expect on a $19 dress! I love the black flecks in the fabric, the button detail on the sleeves and the big slouchy cowl neck. I’m wearing a medium but would have preferred a small. It’s also very cute belted with a pair of tall boots!

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas, layering a mini dress, tall boots

Left: dress || faux fur vest || boots Right: dress || sweater || boots

This little dress is another great option and so fun to layer. I sized up to a medium in this one for length. Again, I’m 5′ 7″ for reference. It’s super cute paired with a slouchy boot and a sweater or faux fur vest. Both of these outfits would be super cute for family photos as well!

holiday Outfit, red leopard blouse

blouse (I’m wearing a 10 for a drapey fit) || jeans || booties

You guys, this blouse is so gorgeous! It’s a much prettier shade of red than it appears online. It’s more of a wine/burgundy color with a very subtle leopard print and the prettiest pleating at the shoulders. It would also be super cute with black leather pants or a leather skirt! And it will be gorgeous for the holidays. I sized up for a drapey fit; stick with your normal size for a more tailored fit.

Thanksgiving Outfits: More Casual

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas, sweater dress with leggings, faux leather leggings, leggings outfit, over the knee boots

tunic sweater/sweater dress (I’m wearing a small) || leggings || OTK boots

This is the same tunic sweater/sweater dress that I’m wearing above in the cranberry color. It’s so soft and I love the oversized fit. Here I’m pairing it with my trusty Spanx leggings and my favorite OTK boots. Of these Thanksgiving outfit ideas, this is most likely what I will wear for! I wear a small and am 5′ 7″ for reference.

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas, chunky sweater, jeans and booties

sweater || jeans || booties

This outfit combination is another go-to for me. A chunky sweater paired with cute jeans and booties looks pulled together but is still super comfortable and easy. This is also an outfit that can be easily created with pieces that you very likely already have in your closet!

sweater, jeans and sneakers

sweater || lace cami || jeans || sneakers

I raved about this sweater over on Instagram last week. It’s next-level soft and so well made. I can’t even believe that it’s a Prime find. It comes in several colors but this ivory shade is so pretty and versatile. And adding fun sneakers to any outfit instantly makes it a more casual-chic look. I sized up to a large for a drapey fit, stick with your normal size for a more fitted look.

Now… who’s ready to dig in? My favorite Thanksgiving dishes are green bean casserole with crispy fried onions, corn casserole and apple pie. (Can you tell I’ve been restricting carbs lol?!)
