Fall is right around the corner and that means the fall fashion shopping season has officially kicked off! One of my favorite categories to shop for year-round is shoes, so this year I’m sharing my ultimate guide to fall’s best shoes!
When thinking about what boots to add to your wardrobe, it’s important to consider not only your personal style but also your lifestyle. It’s easy to get caught up in the latest trends and end up with something that won’t get much wear. Not that that’s ever happened to me or anything, ahem.
So take a peek at your wardrobe and identify the areas where you might be looking to add or replace. Do you need shoes that you can wear to the office and also out on a date night? Do you have a favorite pair of boots that have seen better days? Is it time to add a fun fashion sneaker to up your casual outfit game?
My casual lifestyle means that I have way too many pairs of sneakers. However, I also love to dress up for date nights and events so I tend to gravitate toward OTK boots and fashion-forward booties.
Keep your climate in mind as well. I tend to be drawn to suede with it comes to boots, but it can get a little messy here in the midwest during the winter so I’m always sure to have them weather-proofed.
So without further adieu…
HERE ARE FALL’S BEST SHOES…
Booties
Booties offer tons of versatility and variety with different heel heights and details like buckles or cutouts. Also, consider color and different shaft heights. You may decide you need more than one pair;) This pair is definitely one of fall’s best shoes.
Sock Booties
Sock booties are definitely more dressy but are very versatile and can be paired with jeans and dress pants, as well as dresses and skirts of any length.
Snakeskin Flats
Snakeskin is a huge trend for fall and I’m here for it! I love the little studs on the pair that I purchased but any of these options would definitely take a basic outfit to the next level.
caLeopard Flats
The leopard print trend is here to stay, especially when it comes to shoes and accessories. And leopard flats are a great way to add subtle animal print to your wardrobe. Leopard is a great neutral and can also add a little something extra to a basic outfit. These options are also great for the workplace!
Sneakers
I’m definitely guilty of owning way too many pairs of sneakers! #sorrynotsorry But there are so many great sneakers available this fall! Whether you’re looking for a fashion sneaker, something to wear to the gym or both, I’ve got you covered!
Wedge Sneakers
I’m loving the wedge sneaker trend! They are comfortable, add length to the leg and add a little edge to a basic outfit. Choose a neutral color for maximum versatility.
Snakeskin Booties
If you’re looking to make a little bolder than a snakeskin flat, snakeskin booties are also a huge trend for fall! I love the pointed toe, lower heel and budget-friendly price tag of the pair that I purchased.
Over the Knee Boots
These are a far cry from the “Pretty Woman” variety. Over the knee boots are surprisingly versatile, especially those with a flat heel. And they’re great in the northern climates because they really do help keep your legs warm. And with the right skirt length, can also be workwear appropriate. The pair featured above are my all-time favorites and truly one of fall’s best shoes. So flattering and comfortable and do not slouch on the leg
Fun Platform Sneakers
Did I happen to mention that I love sneakers? The platform trend is another fall shoe trend that I’m embracing. I especially love animal print, but even solid options are a fun alternative to a basic pair of kicks!
