Personal Summer Prep
Ok ladies, getting personal over here today! I hate to even admit this but I was very late to the bikini waxing party. Like embarrassingly late. But now it has become a part of my routine, especially during the summer, that I simply could not live without.
Personal summer prep is just that, it’s very personal. And this is exactly why I trust the waxing experts at Waxing The City. Their waxing services are personalized and efficient and I leave feeling refreshed and ready for the pool. And did you know that when waxing is done consistently, hair grows back slower, finer, and sparser, giving you better long-term results? In fact, some even say they no longer have hair growth in the areas they’ve waxed!
I also love how comfortable I feel at my appointments. At Waxing The City, it’s fair to say they’ve seen it all – in fact, they’ve done more than a half a million Brazilian. Their clientele consists of women and men of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities.
Waxing The City uses a 2 different types of wax. For the face and more sensitive areas, such as the bikini line, they use a hard wax that shrink wraps and hardens around the hair follicle and lifts from the skin, creating a less painful removal. And while everyone has a different pain tolerance, I can honestly say that my waxes at Waxing The City are less painful than other places I’ve visited. For larger areas of the body, The Waxing City uses a more traditional soft wax.
Some Words of Advice for Your Personal Summer Prep
When getting ready for a waxing appointment there are a few things to keep in mind.
- Exfoliate a couple of days prior to your waxing appointment.
- Make sure that the hair being waxed is 1/4-1/2″ in length in order for the waxing to be effective.
- Expect to be hair free for 1-2 weeks following your first appointment. You can stretch this time as you wax more consistently.
- Let your aesthetician know what medications you are taking as certain medications can impact the sensitivity of the skin.
- Ensure that your waxing provider is licensed and specializes in skin care.
If you haven’t tried waxing but are curious, Waxing The City is offering first time clients 50% off their first service, so now is definitely the time to get swimsuit ready!
