What I’m Looking Forward to this Summer
Every summer I like to put together a bucket list of sorts. It’s really just a wish list of things I want to do with my family and kiddos over the summer months. But this summer I’m making a bucket list for just myself. A handful of things I’m hoping to enjoy during the crazy busy months, where being a mom becomes way more than a full-time job!
My Personal Summer Bucket List
I’ve chatted with you guys before about how important it is for us moms to make time for ourselves. With that being said, the first thing on my bucket list is really just a promise to myself to take a little time each evening for myself. I might spend it reading or enjoying a mini facial or just catching up on a favorite show.
Also on my bucket list:
- Read at least 6 books.
- Research and plan a vacation for my hubby and I.
- Entertain more frequently.
- Work in the garden.
By putting pen to paper, or hands to key board, I feel a little more committed to making this small list a reality!

But friends, one things for sure. I’ll be enjoying a glass of wine with each of these activities! My love of wine has been well-documented and I’ve taken the time to break out of my comfort zone and explore some new wines lately.
Spain (my top bucket list travel destination) is home to one of my favorite new wine discoveries, Faustino Wines. Faustino Wines is a fourth generation winery with more than 150 years of tradition and expertise. The winery is located in the region of Rioja and their wines are now exported to more than 70 countries.
Now that the weather is warming up, I’ve been enjoying the Faustino VII Rosé. This fruity wine is perfect for grilling season, as it pairs beautifully with almost anything off the grill. I also love it with pasta salad.
I’ve also tried the Faustino V Red Reserva which has a fuller body and is perfect if you’re a cabernet lover like me. This is a great option for steak night!
I’ll be serving both of these at all of our summer parties this year, but what I really love is that I can also enjoy them while reading on the patio in the evening, or enjoying any of the items on my summer bucket list, including planning that vacation for me and the hubby. I’m thinking Spain…
