Summer, Summer, Summer!
Happy Monday Tuesday gals! Ugh, I’m going to be off all week after our three day weekend. It was one for the books, friends. Here in Chicagoland, we are diving straight into summer. We had a week of spring and then headed straight into the steamy 90’s. (Can spring even be called a season anymore??) We packed in plenty of pool time, grilling (SO much food) and hanging with friends. It really doesn’t get any better.
Honestly though, it got me feeling a little nostalgic. In less than a week, my first born will be headed to fifth grade, which is middle school where I live. WHAT??? How is this possible?! Queue the mom tears over here. All the cliches are true and time flies.
Styling the Gingham Tie Front Top
But, don’t get me wrong, I am ready for summer! And nothing says summer like a little gingham! I wore this top for Easter and am brightening it up for summer with white denim. Nordstrom calls this top the “perfect shirt” and couldn’t be more right. It’s lightweight, drapes perfectly and can be worn tied, untied, with a front tuck or with a bralette peeking out. Dress it up for work or down with shorts. It’s a must have style for summer and it’s part of the Nordstrom half-yearly sale that’s going on right now! I also can’t say enough good things about these wedges and this pair of white jeans, both from Old Navy. White denim can be tricky, but these have a fantastic fit, a mid-rise, just the right amount of stretch and are not see through🙌🏻
