I have been shopping around for an accent rug for our master bedroom for a few months. But I could’t get over the prices at Home Goods and some of my favorite furniture stores! Many of the area rugs that I liked were priced upwards of $1,000! I was shocked at how difficult it was to find an affordable area rug that I loved.
Then some meandering on Pinterest led me to Wayfair.com and my search was over. Wayfair has literally 1,000’s of affordable area rugs in every color and pattern under the sun!I was able to find exactly what I was looking for within minutes. Since then (and because Google knows all), I’ve been getting emails from Target and Amazon and have found even more gorgeous accent rugs at really affordable prices. I shared my favorites above, but I could probably add 100 more to this list!
This is the rug that I ended up ordering, but also seriously contemplated this one and this one. I’ll definitely be finding a room to add one of these oriental rugs, I love the vintage styling.
Small Change, Big Impact
Over the past couple of years, I’ve been making small updates to our home that have ended up making a big impact. Updating your flooring is an impactful way to update your home but can be very costly. This is why I love area rugs. Area rugs work with hardwood, tiles and even carpeted floors.
Of course there are lots of other ways to update your home that can create noticeable change. Simply changing paint color, swapping out curtains, adding new throw pillows or wall art can have a dramatic effect on a space without the dramatic impact on your wallet!
