A bodycon dress that flatters every body type?
I know, I know. I asked myself the same question when I saw this dress and read the reviews. When I stumbled upon this little gem I was skeptical. Sure it looked fantastic on the model (and on other bloggers), but me? I mean I’ve had 2 babies. I really try to stay fit but I also love bread and wine. #thestruggleisreal
But I’d been looking looking for a super flattering, daytime-appropriate, dress up or dress down dress for what seems like my entire life. And it comes in 4 colors, is only $59 and has over 250 great reviews. What did I have to lose? Nothing, as it turns out.
We’ve styled short dresses before, but this one is different. This is one of those pieces that you put on and instantly feel better about yourself. You throw it on with sneakers or heels, OTK boots or booties. You just can’t go wrong. Its subtly sexy without being at all in-your-face. And it just magically sucks everything in. Everything.
It truly is a dress that flatters every body type, creating curves where you want them and smoothing everywhere else.
A Note About High-Low Styling
This particular outfit is a great example of high-low styling. I combined a budget-friendly dress ($59) and cardigan ($30), with more luxe accessories. Although the bag is borrowed from my friend Anna, I highly recommend that if you’re going to invest in your wardrobe to focus on the accessories. A great bag or amazing shoes instantly elevate an outfit.
And can we just talk about Target for a minute? I was a little nervous when they started switching up their brands but I’ve been more than pleasantly surprised. Their sweater selection is amazing and how about these boots? I mean are they not a dead-ringer for my Stuart Weitzman’s?
