Thank you to Samsung for partnering on this post! As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help us bring you great content.
Living in a Smart Home
Over the past couple of years, we’ve been working to turn our home into a smart home. One where we can operate lights, door locks, thermostats, security systems and our home theater system from our devices, both in-home and remotely. We’ve also started streaming our cable online.
But with the plethora of new “smart home” devices on the market today, it can be hard to choose what will truly work for our lifestyle. One of the issues we’ve been seeking to eliminate were the Wi-Fi “dead zones” in our home. At any point in time, my son might be working on his homework online, while I simultaneously upload blog content and my husband and daughter stream a movie.
With our lifestyle, we really need connectivity in all parts of the house.
Creating a Smart Home with Samsung
Samsung has been our go-to for years for everything from televisions to our washer and dryer. And Samsung Connect Home was able to meet all of our needs as we take our smart home to the next level. Connect Home effectively acts as the connective tissue in our household.
Whole home Wi-Fi
The Samsung Connect Home mesh Wi-Fi system creates a powerful corner to corner Wi-Fi signal throughout your home for a fast, reliable connected network. AND it eliminated those pesky Wi-Fi dead zones. The Connect Home also doubles as a SmartThings Hub, connecting our Samsung and third-party smart home devices to our Wi-Fi network. And we can even control a variety of home appliances and devices remotely with the Connect App. Meaning if we forget to adjust the thermostat, turn off lights or turn on the security system – we can do all of this and more with SmartThings.
SmartThings, Smart Home
With the Samsung Connect App, there’s no need to fumble around with multiple apps, because one intuitive app controls it all. Built to work with your existing smart home devices, Samsung Connect Home and the Connect App is compatible with 100’s of smart products such as your Samsung TV, Nest Thermostat, Philips Hue, Netgear Arlo Camera and Ring Video Doorbell, just to name a few.
I’m fairly certain that our household isn’t unique. Homework is now completed online. Its increasingly common to work from home. And streaming everything from cable to movies is the norm. My daughter even uses YouTube to practice piano. Setting up the Samsung Connect Home is easy. Seriously, if I can do it, I promise that you can as well. And even better, the sleek and compact design means there’s no need to hide the system.
Samsung Connect Home would even make an ideal gift this holiday season for that hard to buy person on your list! (And for all things Holiday, don’t forget to check out our holiday menu for gift guides, outfit ideas, recipes and more!)
In today’s world, it’s essential to always be connected. And Samsung Connect Home makes it easy.
