Ok, so I wasn’t originally even going to post anything about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year because I feel that it is SO oversaturated with blogger picks. Plus, not very many things had caught my eye in the catalog. But then my husband went out with some friends last night and I turned on Real Housewives and poured a glass of wine and thought, “what the hell, I’ll just take a peak and see if there is anything good”. Oops. Several hours later and I had added more than just a few things to my cart. I mean, it was a perfect storm.
So here we go…
If you’re unfamiliar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (NSALE), this is not a regular sale…these pieces are new for fall 2017 and only on sale for a limited time. While it can be difficult to shop for Fall styles now, this year we invested in pieces that are wearable now as much as they will be in the fall.
The good stuff always sells out super quickly, and once it’s finally restocked, the sale is over and it’s back to full price! So, we never wait to pull the trigger on any item we are loving – especially since Nordstrom has FREE SHIPPING + FREE RETURNS! We’ve already placed our first order and will be hitting up our stores today as well, but wanted to quickly share some of our favorites with you!
The sale can be super-overwhelming so I’ll break down all the details AND share my under $100 favorites with you below!
WHAT is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Nordstrom takes the incoming fall styles and marks them down as low as 40% off for a limited time. This is the opposite of how stores usually do markdowns, at the end of the season with leftover merchandise. Instead, Nordstrom takes the newest and hottest trends for fall and marks them down now with prices going UP on August 7!
WHO can shop the sale?
You can shop this sale online and in-store RIGHT NOW if you are a Nordstrom cardholder. If you aren’t a cardholder you will have to wait until July 21st to start shopping. This is definitely the way to go as the best stuff sells out fast. You can still view the sale items early, but you won’t be able to check out.
WHY shop for fall gear in the summer?
As I mentioned above, it can be difficult to think about boots, sweaters, coats and jeans this time of year… but trust me your closet and your wallet will thank you come October when most of your shopping is done and the prices go back up! It’s a really great time to stock up on designer pieces at great discounts and even get some early holiday shopping out of the way!
WHEN does this sale run?
It started yesterday for cardholders online & in-store and opens to the public on July 21st. Prices go back up on August 7th. Shop early for the best selection!
WHERE to shop?
You can shop in-store and online, but I definitely prefer online. Being in the store is so overwhelming and I tend to end up with things that I don’t really love. I think it’s best to pour a glass of wine or coffee and shop from the comfort of your own home!
