Valentine’s Day #OutfitInspo

Valentine’s Day is typically a pretty Hallmark holiday for us, especially since its my daughter’s birthday:) I do, however, enjoy putting together a little outfit inspiration for those of you who do celebrate. Since Valentine’s Day falls during what is usually the coldest month of the year in Chicago, I prefer to wear something that will keep me comfortable and still be slightly sexy.

Enter the bodycon sweater dress in a midi-length. Form-fitting but cozy this dress is the answer to your winter date night dilemmas. Your favorite heels and a chic bag are all the accessories you need as this style of dress is sure to steal the show. I love the neutral shade but found an identical option that comes in 12 colors! Even if you aren’t celebrating Valentine’s Day, this is a perfect winter date night look for those of us in chillier climates.

I was never much of an overtly sexy dresser and as I’ve gotten older I’ve found that subtle is definitely the way to go when trying to add a little oomph to an outfit.

Here are some other options to consider when planning your Valentine’s Day (or winter date night) outfit:

  • cold shoulder sweaters
  • leather leggings paired with heels
  • over the knee boots paired with a mini dress
  • a drapey blouse and skinny jeans

I hope this helps as you plan your next date night look this winter!

Do you plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day? Don’t you wish it fell during the warmer months?!
