My Favorite Coat of the Season
In the past I always felt a little biased against shearling coats. I think its because of the one I was given as a gift in college. That jacket was ratty and cheap looking, but never again. This seasons crop of shearling coats are cozy warm AND chic. They combine the edgy cool-girl vibe of the moto jacket with actual, practical warmth. Its a win-win. And they come in a slew of gorgeous neutrals. AND they’re pretty much all on sale!
My favorite thing about the shearling moto jacket is its endless versatility. I’ve styled here with black jeans and booties and kept things pretty monochromatic. But this must-have coat looks just as great with something more dressed up. It just seems to add that “fashion-girl vibe” to anything you pair it with!
I have to laugh, because as I type this post it is currently 60 degrees. At night. In Chicago. In February. Its crazy, you guys! Not that I’m complaining because really it has been so lovely and so spring-like. However, I fear the end is near as there is a big snowflake on my phone for Saturday’s weather. So I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. And when its over, I’ll be pulling out this coat to get me through the rest of winter. Because something tells me its not over JUST yet.
