Monday Tuesday friends! I had originally planned this post for yesterday but with the kids off of school and the hubby off of work for President’s Day, and my brother visiting from Portland, I decided to take a long weekend. Guys, we had temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s for his entire visit! We kept joking about how Chicago is known for its balmy winters!
The fact that I even have a scarf on in these photos is almost laughable. I have a few more winter outfits to post, but it certainly feels more like May. I think Chicago is a bit of an anomaly with our weather though, so hopefully I can continue to provide some winter outfit inspiration for some of you!
Black + White
One of my favorite combinations this winter has been over the knee boots and mini skirts (examples here and here. I love how the boots balance out the shorter skirt length. Add a chunky knit and a cozy scarf and its a pretty foolproof outfit formula. And you can never go wrong with a little classic black and white print mixing. I loved shooting these photos at Bernie’s Supper Club in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. The restaurant served as the perfect backdrop for this black and white look!
Were you able to get out and enjoy the long weekend? We spent loads of time outdoors soaking up the Vitamin D and it was ahhhhmazing! That’s all I’ve got for today guys. I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!
