After last year’s easy breezy winter, Chiberia has officially returned with a vengeance. And of course this would coincide with our furnace deciding to kick the bucket. Yep 2017 is not off to the start that I had hoped. Blankets, space heaters, lots of cuddles with the littles and this blanket poncho will get me through today. (Fingers crossed its fixed/replaced by the end of the day AND that it doesn’t blow our vacation budget!)
How to style a poncho and not look frumpy.
When I first received this poncho I wasn’t sure how to style it and still feel put together. Once again, enter the leather legging. Add my favorite over the knee boots (the heel elongates the look) and I’m not only super cozy but still feel stylish. And obviously you can’t live in the midwest and not own a ridiculously large collection of beanies. I may have an actual problem with purchasing these suckers. Inside or out, I wear them constantly.
And these boots are seriously my favorite purchase of the season. (Also seen here and plenty more outfits planned!) They are a little more that I usually spend, but I get stopped every single time I wear them. The fit is just like nothing else that I own. They also come in a lower heeled version.
How was your weekend? We are coming off two weeks of winter break today and while I’m ready to get back into a routine, I’m also really going to miss these lazy days and time…just time. On the other hand both my kids (ages 6 and 8) figured out how to text their friends this weekend and oh my god let the drama begin.
