Old Navy Original Straight jeans {post coming soon} ~ photo by Ashley
Today, I’m so excited to be partnering with Old Navy again, this time featuring their incredible line of denim! I have been a huge fan of Old Navy denim since they retooled the Rockstar line years ago. Since then, ON jeans have only gotten better! With more styles, innovation and technology than ever before Old Navy has you covered from Boyfriend, Rockstar Skinnies, to the latest Flare trends.
Speaking of trends in denim, this fall we are all over the map. Skinny, flared, boyfriend, straight, cropped, wide leg…what’s old is new again and anything goes! One of the coolest and edgiest trends that’s taken off is the staggered hemline. I was eyeing a few pairs earlier in the season but refused to pay $200+ for a style that I wasn’t 100% sure was going to stand the test of time.
DYI Staggered Hem Denim:
So today I have the perfect solution: a DIY staggered hem tutorial with Old Navy’s Original Straight jeans! Perfectly on-trend and incredibly budget-friendly. Additionally, it could not be more simple! Its a win-win.
Step 1:
First, simply cut off the hem of the jeans using fabric scissors.
Step 2:
Then with the denim facing front side up, make a 2-inch cut just along or in front of the seam on each side of the leg.
Step 3:
Cut across the top of the incision. Finally, wash and dry the jeans and voila: the perfect staggered hem jeans for under $30!
