Styling Fall’s Biggest Trends: the Bell Sleeve and Step Hem Denim
Happy Hump Day guys! Today, I’m showcasing two of falls most prominent trends and showing how to style them in a very modern, yet classic way. The bell sleeve started popping up last spring and now seems to be everywhere. From blouses to sweaters to long sleeve tees, the bell sleeve adds a feminine touch to all of your basic tops and can vary from a subtle flare to a something more dramatic.
My New Favorite DIY
Another trend that seems to be everywhere this fall is step hem denim. I posted a tutorial just last week of how you can DIY this look for a small fraction of what the most popular styles are going for. I love how this denim style allows your shoes to really take center stage so select a pair that you’ve been wanting to show off. I’ve linked a bunch of truly amazing printed block heel pumps at the bottom of this post too!
Can a classic girl still experiment with trends?
This is a question that I used to ask myself and I’ve discovered that the answer is decidedly yes! It really just depends on the trend. The two that I’m styling today are very wearable pieces that are really just updated classics: a navy sweater and dark wash jeans. I find that I’m drawn to trends that stay true to my more minimalist style and that I can easily incorporate into my existing wardrobe.
