How I’m Preparing For NYFW

My obsession with fashion started early. When I was a little girl, my parents would let me pick out my own clothes and dressing became a means of self-expression. As a child I loved mixing colors, wearing dresses with jeans and embellishing my sneakers. My style has evolved as I’ve grown older and become more minimalist and modern but the creative self-expression is most certainly still there.

NYFW here I come!

So its with the greatest anticipation, that I prepare to attend New York Fashion Week aka NYFW for the first time. Anna and I leave next Friday and for the past couple of weeks I’ve been doing nothing but outfit planning in my head! I thought it would be fun to create a post about what I’ll be taking with me. I’ve also been pinning like crazy to my NYFW Pinterest board. The street style inspiration is endless and I love the mix of casual and tailored that seems to prevail.

What’s In My Suitcase:

This bell sleeve blouse came yesterday and I’m obsessed. Its so unique and perfect for NY. And at $22 its pretty much a no-brainer! I also purchased this navy lace midi dress and this ruffled number as options for the after parties. This cheeky handbag is my favorite accessory purchase although this more structured option is sure to make an appearance as well. Both are under $25. See, great street style does not have to cost a fortune!

It will be a dream come true to see the runway shows and get an idea of what we can look forward to for Spring 2017! But if I’m being completely honest, most of my excitement is centered around the street style and checking out our first glimpses of fall fashion at its finest.
