Its time for another weekend guys! And sadly, this is the last summer weekend at our house. Kiddos head back to school on Monday and we close out what has to be the fastest summer in history! We didn’t waste a minute, criss-crossing the country and spending time with family and friends. Last weekend, we surprised the kids with a trip to Florida, taking in Disney World, Kennedy Space Center and plenty of beach and pool time. We had a great time and it was the perfect end to the perfect summer vacation!
Next stop, New York Fashion Week! This is my first year attending and I’m beyond excited. Totally last minute…like we do…and it will be a whirlwind that’s sure to leave my head spinning but I cannot wait! I’ve been pouring over Pinterest and my favorite sites for affordable, yet on-trend fashion that’s true to my minimalist and classic, yet structured style. Think ASOS {obsessed with this dress}, SheIn {how great is this top} and Forever 21 {need this bag}.

What I’m eating:
If I lived down south it’s pretty safe to say I’d put on a few lbs! While in Florida I enjoyed things like bacon wrapped shrimp, coconut shrimp, lobster tacos, crab cakes, hush puppies, flash-friend spinach and yellowfin tuna. OMG so much goodness. I’m on another full-on seafood kick and will definitely be trying to recreate the bacon-wrapped shrimp here at home!
What I’m Reading:
At home, I’m not the best about actually sitting down and reading for pleasure, but I always make a point of it while on vacation. I started Jennifer Weiner’s Best Friends Forever this week, and while not her best, is still a great, light summer read. The Vacationers is next. A little late to the party on both of these, but that’s ok. I also picked up The Girl on the Train in Portland last month and could not put it down. Highly recommend.
What I’m Shopping:
Fall and NYFW {see above}. Also eyeing this leather pencil skirt, this boho fall dress, this snow leopard foldover clutch and these over the knee boots {because, you know, I need another pair of those – husband rolls eyes}.
