The Ruffled Blouse You Need in Your Life
Happy Tuesday guys! Did everyone have a good 4th? We celebrated with friends and with way too much good food and drink and I’m feeling it today! Back to the gym for this chick. Today I’m sharing one of my favorite summer looks. A ruffled blouse + distressed skinny jeans + nude strappy heals + a statement bag. This ruffled blouse sold out super fast but I’ve been able to find an exact dupe! And bonus, its an exact dupe at under $30!
Bloggers Supporting Bloggers
Over the weekend I had the good fortune to meet one of my favorite bloggers for the first time IRL! Dianna Baros, of The Budget Babe has long been a favorite of mine for her affordable designer look for less scores and collaboration reviews. Her blog is always inspiring me and so it was great to sit down and find out that she’s also one of the sweetest, most down to earth people I’ve ever had the pleasure too meet and I get the feeling that if she wasn’t an East Coaster {don’t worry, shes’s a Chicago girl at heart}, we’d be hanging out all the time.
It also felt good to vent a little bit to Dianna about how as much as I love blogging and feel incredibly fortunate to get to do it, its hard work! There are those who think you sit down in front of a computer and throw up a post in 15 minutes and its all about clothes and fancy parties and free stuff. Granted all of those things are involved, but if I had to actually calculate the time it takes to put up one really solid post the answer would be at least 12-15 hours. The additional social media pressures and networking required means waaaayyyy more than a full work week. Is it fun? Absolutely. Is it glamourous? It certainly can be. Is it fulfilling? That question I’m still answering. Parts of it most definitely are. But parts can be lonely, or feel a little bit hollow. And that is definitely why it is such a joy meeting other bloggers who share the same sensibilities.
