Hi guys! Happy Friday! This week was a doozy. Not that I can complain, it was all really fun stuff, but I’m exhausted and feel like I need to nothing more than sleep this weekend! I was invited to visit Grand Lux Cafe on Monday and taste their new spring menu and it was amazing! The highlight though had to be the Pastrami Deli Tots {I die} and the Ahi Ceviche, although everything was so fresh and flavorful its hard to pick a top dish! Their bento boxes were also a crowd favorite. Seriously left so full I didn’t think I’d need to eat another meal for days!

On Tuesday, I headed out with Ashley and Anna to the Chicago Botanic Gardens to shoot for Rent The Runway. It was a marathon of a day but I cannot wait to share the photos with you! It was pretty funny walking around in formal dresses amongst the other visitors; we got some interesting looks for sure! I have so many fun things to share in the coming weeks so be sure to stay tuned!

Now onto A Few of My Favorite Things…things that I use daily or weekly that I have grown to love and genuinely think you will too! These are not things that I was paid to write about but items that I have discovered in the past few months, that I use and genuinely adore.

benefit fake up concealer

One of my favorite recent discoveries is Benefit Fake-Up hydrating concealer. I had heard so many great things about this product, but it wasn’t until I realized that it contained a moisturizer that I new I had to try it. Traditional concealer always seems to settle into lines and makes the skin around my eyes look so crepe-like and Benefit Fake-Up did neither of those things. I was initially concerned that my eye make-up would melt into the moisturizer but that has never happened. We will see how this holds up over the summer, but so far I am loving how it feels on my skin!

tula exfoliating treatment mask

Over the past year, I’ve been trying to invest more time into my skin. I’m not one to get monthly facials, but I do think that an at home treatment can be nearly as effective. This exfoliating treatment mask from Tula, has made my skin feels so soft, smooth and thoroughly moisturized. And it lasts and lasts, so even though its not a drug store price, I think its definitely worth every penny! And the lactic acid it contains is perfect for those with sensitive or more mature {read over 30} skin.

I once read that every woman over the age of 30 should be using a vitamin C serum, which helps stimulate the production of collagen for smoother texture and even skin tone. This one packs a serious punch with a strength of 20%, but it also contains hyaluronic acid which adds moisture to the skin and keeps the serum from irritating the skin. I can’t say enough good things about this product. I have tried a lot and was even making my own for a time, but this is the best vitamin C serum on the market as far as I’m concerned, and also super affordable.

With summer right around the corner, I’m ready for my skin to have that dewy glow. This highlighter from Boots No7 gives you that warm and lit from within glow and is very comparable to Hourglass Ambient palette for a fraction of the price. Its easy to overdo, so please use a light hand, but its so soft and beautiful and comes in several other colors as well!

essie nail polish,

Essie nail polishes have always been my favorite, and this spring I’ve been wearing Essie nail color in Minimalist almost nonstop. Its a cool, pale pink that’s very neutral but still feels feminine and summery. I have to say, I’m always so happy when spring and summer arrive because its so much easier to paint your nails when you’re working with a lighter shade!

The other item from Essie that I can’t stop talking about is Essie Gel Setter topcoat. Before this product, I was lucky if my manicure lasted 2 days, but with this top coat, my manicures have lasted as long as 7 days! It’s a little harder to remove the polish, but it doesn’t damage your nails at all the way a traditional gel polish does!

I have been committed to going to the gym regularly for the past year and feel so much stronger and more fit. I’ve been wanting to get more serious about tracking my activity for a while but felt that most of the fitness trackers were so unattractive. So when Fossil sent over their version, the Fossil Q I was instantly smitten with its sleek design and rose-gold finish. It tracks my steps and my calories and looks super chic while doing it!

I love my spring scarves. And this spring, scarves have been almost a necessity. You’ve already seen this one on the blog and I’ve pretty much been wearing it nonstop! I love the blue and white stripes, it looks so pretty with an all white outfit and is one of the softest things I own. At under $20, its pretty much a no-brainer. Super easy to thrown in a tote and ties around the waist perfectly as a sarong, if summer ever decides to show up!

So that’s it! All of my current favorite things. I’d love to hear: what are you loving lately?
