Life Lately: A Behind The Scenes Peek

 J. Crew ruffle sleeve top {on sale} || Nine West printed pumps {on sale}

Happy Friday! Is it just me or did this week fly by! Life is flying by lately. As I type this my kiddos are down to just 15 days of school left, yikes! Do you remember that feeling when summer was right around the corner and you could barely sit still you were so excited to taste freedom? It seems like a hot second ago!

Today I’m rounding up some behind the scenes shots via Instagram. Let me know if you’d like to see outfits on the blog with any of these pieces! {The printed pumps above will definitely be featured in multiple posts in the coming weeks; I’m mildly obsessed!}

I’m also sharing below what I’m eating, shopping, reading and blogging about over the past week or so!

I’ve never been into any type of fad diets or restricting any food group but have been naturally leaning toward a more pescetarian lifestyle lately. I can’t seem to get enough seafood, especially shrimp, salmon and ahi tuna. I’ve also been on a serious black bean burger kick. I’ve been buying the organic chipotle black bean burgers at Costco lately, which are amazing and serving them on a whole wheat sandwich thin, piled with tons of avocado, tomatoes and roasted peppers and onions. I’m also going to try my hand at making my own and want to try cilantro-lime black bean burgers and black bean sweet potato burgers. Yum, right?

Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. Not gonna lie, this one is pretty dark and graphic, but it sucks you in from page one and I haven’t been able to put it down. On a side note, reading for pleasure is a hobby that I’ve been neglecting lately and I didn’t realize how much I missed it! I’ve been spending so much time reading material about approving my blog, my SEO, my social media presence, that I hadn’t made time to read for fun in far too long. It feels pretty good to shift gears a little bit.

Too much, but I am cooling it after one too many online purchases that ended up being a disappointment. However, I do currently have my eye on this ruffled blousethis saddle bag in pinkthis throw on and go ruffled dress and these totally wearable everyday wedges.

This week I shared my Kentucky Derby celebration with my girls and discussed why bloggers can be great role models, a post that rattled around in my head for at least 6 months and I’m so happy to have finally gotten out!

I’d love to hear your thoughts and what you’s like to see more {or less} of! And I hope you have the best of weekends!
