Graphic navy and white stripes have always screamed spring to me so when I came across this fun and feminine peplum jacket for under $20 I knew I had to have it! I can guarantee that this will not be the last time you see this guy, but until the actual spring temps start cooperating, I love the look of a peplum top with an elongating pair of flared jeans. Can you believe mine are from Target {last seen here}? At under $30, they are a dead ringer for this pair of J Brand jeans that I had been coveting.
Here’s the thing about Target…they have some great stuff and the quality, especially when it comes to the denim, is pretty darn good {I mean have you seen the Who What Wear line?}. The problem folks, is in the execution. The photos of the products online never do the item justice. I really feel like they are missing out on some pretty serious online shopping opportunities simply because their photos kind of suck. Sorry, Target, I love you, I do, its just a friendly tip:)
Sorry, I completely went off on a tangent…back to the outfit…even though there is a lot of fullness here, the dark wash of the jeans and the sleek silhouette help to keep things in balance. And yes, I know its technically too early for white heels, but I’m not really one to follow the rules, particularly when it comes to fashion, so who cares?!
I also have to give a special thank you to my beautiful friend Ashley. We may have had a couple of glasses of wine at the Fig & Olive spring tasting luncheon prior to this shot {Go there. And try the crab salad}. And it was cold. And it was raining. But once again she nailed it.
