You’ll have to forgive me, I’m on a bit of a lace dress kick lately. Maybe its the flowers, or the milder temperatures, or the fact that I’m just a little giddy to be packing away my sweaters for the season {side note: its freezing again, but I packed them away anyway; I’m willing spring to show up and stay put}, but no matter the reason, I am loving a feminine lace midi dress for spring.

I’m also loving the athleisure trend lately. Although I can’t seem to pull off the sweats and sneakers and a leather jacket look like some can so effortlessly, I do love to incorporate one piece into my outfits from time to time, like these Adidas. I love the contrast with the lace and I can’t deny the comfort factor!

Ashley and I have been having the best time exploring the city lately and finding the most stunning backdrops for photos. Its funny how becoming a blogger means you are constantly scanning your surroundings looking for new and interesting places to shoot photos! It used to drive the hubby nuts so its so fun to have a someone who ‘gets it’!

Its also made me see the city of Chicago in a new light. When you live in a place that can more often than not feel gloomy and dark and pretty dirty, it can be hard to see the beauty. I mean you can only take so many urban shots before it starts to feel a little bit tired. Blogging has made me appreciate the interesting wall art, the stunning museums and the quiet neighborhoods.

And now that the gardens are blooming, even a little rain can’t get me down. If nothing else, its a good excuse to break out a fun umbrella!

What are your favorite accessories for this wild spring ride we’re on?
