When my sweet friend Ashley recently picked up the covetable Chloé ‘Drew’ crossbody {seen here and here} I was completely smitten, but the hefty price tag just isn’t in my budget. Fortunately this classic piece has inspired a slew of dupes! I love the snakeskin print and texture of mine and the price is under $25 and no that is not a typo! Not that I don’t think the real deal is worth the investment. When it comes to handbags, that is definitely where I would invest my money when it comes to fashion. It’s just not in the budget at the moment, but adding a fun, statement-making and budget-friendly accessory is doable, so why not! As far as the quality…time will tell. I can see the hardware tarnishing, but if I still love the bag, the chain is easy and inexpensive to replace and I’l likely put a coat of clear nail polish on the clasp.
As far as the rest of my outfit, I’m loving finding new ways to wear these over the knee boots {another total classic}. Today, I am pairing them with a cozy sweater dress and a flowy layering tunic. I love the mix of textures and this outfit feels fun while still staying grown up and polished. I have to admit, I’m a little bit shocked at what a closet staple these boots have become! And I’m hoping the fact that I’m wearing a dress, sweater or not, means that spring is on its way!
