Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was jam packed with tons of kid stuff and a lot of packing. I leave on Wednesday with the kids and my dad on a road trip! The kids are great little travelers; I think the prep is worse than the actual time spent in the car!

Meanwhile, the weather here continues to be crazy unpredictable. Its literally a torrential down pour one minute and sunny and 90 the next. A couple of weeks ago when I got together with the lovely Katie from Little Black Blog for lunch, I had been having a harder than normal time “dressing up”, but a great trench always makes me feel ready for anything. And these soft shorts from Old Navy are one of my favorite new pieces for summer. They are so comfy and versatile. Today, I paired them with my favorite dark chambray, comfy flats and (I’ll say it again) the best tote ever! Add a trench and I’m ready for whatever the day throws at me.
