Flared Jeans and a Simple Tee

One of my favorite things about owning a lot of quality, basic pieces is that its super easy to change up an entire look with just a few accessories. I’ve been super inspired this spring by Madewell’s spring catalog, specifically how they styled the denim. All of the looks just scream summer in that sunshiney, relaxed way. My jeans are super old, but I’m soooooo happy that I hung onto them. Don’t you just love it when what’s old is new again? I’m actually thinking of altering them in the thigh, to take them from a wide-leg to a flare. Have any of you altered your jeans in this way? Is it doable?

Anyway, back to my point. This very basic outfit of jeans and a tee is really taken to another level with the addition of a few accessories, specifically this gorgeous necklace. I’m totally smitten with this pieces and couldn’t have been more thrilled when Maude sent it over! I have a feeling its going to be on repeat throughout the summer. In fact, I think this would also make a really great festival look. The fedora and oversized {reversible} tote complete this slightly boho-inspired look.
