Shop Local: Holiday Shopping for Those Hard to Buy For

Unique and Special Gifts for those Hard to Buy For

We all have those people on our list that can be difficult to shop for. Maybe it’s your Dad or your husband. Or maybe your mother-in-law or best friend. Where do you find fun and unique gifts that are sure to impress?

Shop Local!

Small Business Saturday is the Saturday that falls after Thanksgiving and is a great opportunity to support smaller shops and boutiques in your community and also snag some special gifts for those who can be a bit trickier to shop for.

If you’ve been reading and following along for a while then you know that I frequently shop at Burr Ridge Village Center, just 15 minutes outside of Chicago. What sets Burr Ridge Village Center apart is their unique mix of national retailers and independent boutiques. This also makes them a great option to shop for Small Business Saturday.

Smaller boutiques have become my go-to when shopping for those hard to buy for. They are such a great option for unique and fun gifts that can be tailored to each person. So many of you are local and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite local shops for gifts that are sure to please!

Peak Running: For the Athlete or Athleisure-Lover

Peak Running With A Twist is one of my favorite destinations for athletic wear as well as athleisure. They stock one of my favorite cold-weather brands, Craft, which is a must for those of us in the Midwest. Peak Running also carries Lululemon and Alo Yoga, both great for hitting the gym, and all of your errands afterward. They also have an amazing athletic shoe assortment and, get this, craft beers and ciders on tap!!!

Hit up Peak Running for the athletes in your life, or those that just appreciate great-quality athleisure wear.
